Monke Temple was born from the intertwined journeys of two sisters. One discovered yoga as her passion and purpose, a path that soon expanded into meditation and teaching. While leading retreats in Bali, she realized that true wellbeing blossoms when we also reconnect with nature.
The other, after a life-changing event that brought stress and burnout, turned to yoga and meditation in search of balance and began redefining her life’s purpose. What started as self-care soon grew into a calling — to share knowledge, to serve others, and to live with joy and meaning.
Together, their journeys converged, inspiring the creation of the Monke Methodology and the mission behind Monke Temple: to unite movement, presence, growth, and care for nature in the pursuit of joy.
how we walk
this path
Our philosophy is simple: to serve our customers and humanity, inspire healing and wellbeing, and channel learning and awareness, through the movement of the body, the presence in the moment, personal growth, and the care of Nature and all living things.
what
guide us
- Breathe. Pause, breathe deeply, and return to the present so every thought, decision, and action comes from awareness.
- Be kind and compassionate. Act from love, let it guide your choices, and honor the interconnectedness of all beings and Nature.
- Serve. Turn kindness and compassion into action, finding joy through helping others and protecting the planet.
- Inspire joy. Live as an example of wellbeing — nurture your body, be mindful, seek fulfillment, care for Nature, and share your journey.
- Keep learning. Live with curiosity, discovery, and growth — finding greater joy and deeper connection.
- Advocate for Nature. Protect the planet and create a positive impact through sustainable action.

I’m a lifelong seeker of knowledge, justice, and balance for both the Earth and humankind. My yoga journey began in college, thanks to my mother’s gentle nudge. She must have known something I didn’t yet: fell in love with yoga instantly, even as I pursued a corporate path.
With a degree in Organizational Psychology, I spent years in human resources as an Organizational Development Consultant and Executive & Life Coach. Yet yoga kept calling me deeper. What began as a weekly practice soon became my passion and, eventually, my purpose.
My training took me across the globe: a 600-hour Hatha Yoga certification (Iyengar methodology) in Mexico, Ashtanga Rocket Yoga in Thailand, Yin Yoga in Dubai, and a 500-hour YTT in India. After moving to Dubai, I embraced teaching full-time, leading classes, private sessions, and retreats in Bali, with more than 5,500 teaching hours to date.
Meditation became my steady companion. Later, my sister and I deepened our mindfulness journey together, completing MBSR training with Brown University and a Mindfulness Teacher Certification with the Mexican Institute for Mindfulness.
My teaching style blends energy, compassion, and creativity. I honor each yoga tradition while crafting sequences that are grounding and joyful, creating space for self-love, discovery, and connection. Beyond the mat, I treasure simple moments: time with loved ones, travel, fresh air, birdsong, and lessons from my greatest teacher, my daughter. Teaching is my calling and a gift of love and empowerment I’m grateful to share. I’m deeply grateful for the chance to co-create this journey with my sister.

I am a lifelong learner, passionate about deep human connection, finding meaning, and seeing the invisible threads that link everything.
My professional journey began in International Business and took me through two decades in the fast-paced corporate world.
After a life-changing period of stress and burnout — and inspired by my sister’s own path — I turned to yoga and meditation in search of balance and began redefining my life’s purpose. I naturally gravitated toward the human side of organizations: leadership, talent development, coaching, and wellbeing. That evolution grew into the dream of creating Monke Temple together. What started as self-care became a calling — to share knowledge, to serve, and to live with joy and meaning.
I am a certified coach, trained with an ICF-accredited institute, and have coached corporate and private clients for over a decade. I am also a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, a certified mindfulness meditation instructor with the Mexican Institute for Mindfulness, and trained in MBSR at Brown University. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for nearly 15 years, participating in retreats in Bali, the USA, and Mexico.
My teaching weaves reflection, compassion, and practicality. I seek to make wellbeing feel simple, meaningful, and within reach — a practice that lives in everyday moments. Each space I hold is an invitation to clarity, kindness, and connection.
In my personal life, I treasure meaningful conversations, the wonder of new places, ideas, and creative expressions, and time with my family and my beautiful dogs — who remind me what presence and unconditional love truly are. Guided by curiosity, compassion, and service, my purpose is to help others reconnect with themselves, find joy, and honor our interconnectedness — and our shared responsibility to make the world a better place.
